Who we are

Finch Puzzles (finchpuzzles.com) is the website for Alistair Finch's puzzle books. This policy covers the whole site.

What we collect

Browsing the site doesn't require any details from you, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies. When you check an answer on a book's answer page, we collect what you enter (your answer and your email address), the time, and whether you asked to hear about new books. We also keep a scrambled code made from your connection, so we can enforce guess limits. We never store your actual IP address.

How we use it

To email you your verdict and to enforce guess limits. If you asked for news, we'll also email you when a new book is out.

Who we share it with

Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES) sends our emails, and the site runs on Cloudflare. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else. Buying a book happens on Amazon, under Amazon's own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Answers are deleted after 12 months. If you asked for news, we keep your email until you unsubscribe.
